MORGAN HILLMAN

Morgan Hillman, MSWi, therapist

Morgan is a Master of Social Work Intern providing therapy services under the supervision of Laura Parry, LCSW. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work from Grand Canyon University with an expected graduation in December 2027. Morgan holds a Bachelor's degree from BYU-Idaho and brings additional expertise as an embodiment coach with a background in public health. She is currently working towards her certification and training in perinatal mental health. She specializes in helping clients navigate life transitions, identity development, relationship challenges, and struggles with self-worth and emotional regulation.

Morgan's practice is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Empowerment-Based approaches, honoring both the complexity and resilience within every person. Through IFS, she helps clients identify and compassionately understand the parts of themselves that may be carrying pain or protective roles. The Empowerment model allows her to center each client's voice, helping them reconnect with their sense of choice, purpose, and strength. Morgan creates a therapeutic space built on genuine presence, empathy, and respect for each client's unique story. She approaches every session with curiosity rather than judgment, allowing clients to move at their own pace and define what safety means for them. Her specialties include:

  • Life transitions and identity development

  • Relationship challenges and communication

  • Self-worth and emotional regulation

  • Stress management and anxiety

  • Personal growth and spirituality

  • Self-compassion and inner healing

Morgan is especially drawn to supporting clients who are learning to reconnect with themselves after experiences of disconnection, shame, or internal conflict. Her holistic approach recognizes how the body, mind, and environment all influence emotional well-being, and she strives to create a space where clients feel empowered, seen, and supported in their healing journey.

When Morgan isn't working or studying, she finds balance through movement, creativity, and time in nature. She enjoys hiking and spending quiet moments outdoors to reset and recharge. Writing and journaling are meaningful practices that help her process experiences and stay grounded. She embraces traditions that celebrate both the big and little moments of life, especially those that come with having children and extended family. Whether it's marking birthdays and holidays with intentional gatherings or honoring the small joys like a shared laugh over a family meal, Morgan values presence and connection.

One life lesson Morgan learned the hard way is the importance of fully embracing discomfort rather than avoiding it. She realized that growth and transformation happen in the discomfort, not in avoidance. Experiencing that struggle firsthand has made her deeply empathetic with clients who feel stuck or resistant, and she can guide them to lean into discomfort safely, understanding that real change often requires stepping into what feels uncomfortable. Morgan wants her potential clients to know that transformation often happens in small, consistent moments rather than dramatic shifts, and that creating a safe, attentive space that honors each person's individuality can be profoundly healing.
