Supervised by Laura Parry, LCSW, PMH-C
Melissa is a social worker with 14 years of experience across child and family services, case management, and crisis intervention. She is passionate about creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported — especially during some of life's hardest seasons. She specializes in:
postpartum mental health
chronic illness
crisis support
emotional regulation and coping
family and relational challenges
Melissa approaches her work with empathy and authenticity, honoring each client's lived experience and unique perspective. She believes clients are active participants in their own growth, and she works alongside them to identify practical steps toward the changes that matter most to them. Her approach is solution-focused and strengths-based, and she draws from:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Solution-Focused Therapy
Crisis Intervention
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences with an Emphasis in Family Studies and is currently completing her Master of Social Work internship. She is also certified in Crisis Intervention. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals through postpartum challenges and chronic illness — areas she feels deeply connected to through both personal experience and professional passion.
Outside of work, Melissa is a wife and mom of three who loves hiking, camping, and running races. She's always up for a challenge that pushes her limits.
She wants new clients to know that she has been where they are — and she knows firsthand how much it helps to have someone to talk to. It takes real courage to start therapy and do something for yourself. She is grateful for the opportunity to show up for you during some of your hardest days.
