Rachael Uchytil, MSW, therapist

Rachael Uchytil, CSW, is a therapist at Roots & Branches Wellness whose practice is grounded in the belief that every person deserves a space where they feel genuinely safe, heard, and in control of their own healing. She brings a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to her work, with deep respect for each client's culture, values, and right to define their own path forward.

Rachael creates a supportive and empowering environment for clients navigating some of the most emotionally demanding seasons of life. She is especially passionate about walking alongside clients through birth trauma and the perinatal period, honoring both the complexity and the courage it takes to seek support. Her specialties include:

  • Perinatal mental health (pregnancy & postpartum)

  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PPD, OCD, etc.)

  • Birth trauma (PPH, NICU, infant loss, and more)

  • Childhood trauma and abuse

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship issues

Rachael holds a Master of Social Work and is licensed as a CSW in the state of Utah. Prior to joining Roots & Branches, she worked at a behavioral health center supporting at-risk youth with trauma histories which provided an experience that deepened her trauma-informed lens and sharpened her skills in risk assessment. Her clinical training includes:

  • Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care

  • Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Mindfulness Practices

  • Risk Assessment

For her clients, Rachael hopes to foster healing, resilience, and a growing confidence in themselves as they move through life's transitions. She is committed to meeting each person where they are and supporting them in building the self-compassion and tools they need for lasting well-being.

Outside of work, Rachael loves spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys sewing, reading fantasy novels, exploring national parks, thrifting with friends, and staying active. At home, you'll find her cooking, playing board games, and making time for the people she loves most.

"Every person progresses differently, healing takes time, and the process is often not linear. Being patient and compassionate with yourself is a crucial part of your journey, and therapy is a safe space to explore, process, and grow at your own pace."
